Stunning images from photographer Magdalena Sole and her new book, New Delta Rising.
Taken over the course of 2 years, these photos capture the day-to-day life in the Mississippi delta.
While this region suffers from high unemployment and infant mortality rates, Sole sought to deliver images of a resilient, tight-knit community.
To see more of her extensive portfolio including travels to Brazil, China, Burma and Japan check out her site, Sole Pictures.
