Since returning from Italy I’ve found the weather here to be at times reminiscent of the weather I experienced over my summers in India… I’m talking about the monsoon.
I remember watching my cousins walking up to the house after school… completely drenched.
I remember spending many an afternoon staring out the window as the rain put a damper on my badminton plans (get it? ‘damper’?… really bad joke).
Now, of course, the rainfall I’m experiencing here is nothing compared the rainfall in India during the summer months.
But with the torrential rain, life must carry on…
Indians know how to deal with it.

Oh my gosh, the photo of the couple with a baby on the motorbike gave me the chills. It would be so easy to skid and fall in so much rain. But I suppose people have no choice. Beautiful pictures.
