Who knew the hairstyle I sported at 12 years old would be part of a designer’s future Spring fashion show?

Yep, this was my hairstyle hundreds of years ago. I was so ahead of my time! Or is Rick Owens is behind the times… hmmm?

Obviously I could have posted an image of myself at 12, but I’ll spare you that haunting image. The hairstyle definitely works better on these models at the Rick Owens Spring 2013 fashion show.

Indian Monsoon.

Since returning from Italy I’ve found the weather here to be at times reminiscent of the weather I experienced over my summers in India… I’m talking about the monsoon.

I remember watching my cousins walking up to the house after school… completely drenched.

I remember spending many an afternoon staring out the window as the rain put a damper on my badminton plans (get it? ‘damper’?… really bad joke).

Now, of course, the rainfall I’m experiencing here is nothing compared the rainfall in India during the summer months.

But with the torrential rain, life must carry on…

Indians know how to deal with it.
