michael kors, skinny jeans, android radar watch, open knit sweater, asymmetrical hem, all for the mountain, pinkie ring, unif, open knit, unif loose knit sweater, i don't like mondays, wedge boots, ombre highlights

It’s a dark dreary day so I had to shoot inside. Around the kitchen actually. While I was preparing to make fresh juice. Boy, how I long for sunny days…

But as long as the temps stay low enough to wear this sweater I’m quite happy!

I’m a sucker for open knit sweaters.

Except for when the acrylic gets snagged (but I think that’s the look the manufacturer is going for).

This orange has met it’s match! (I naturally pose like this before I cut open an orange… don’t you?) :)

sweater: Unif; tshirt: Deerhunter; denim: Paige; boots: Michael Kors; pinkie ring: All for the Mountain; double ring with chain: my own.

steve madden pembrook bootsYet another hat that is way too small for my head. This is how I deal.

Nothing beats Helmut Lang. I’ve fallen in love with the fashion house over the last few seasons and have slowly built a small collection (they share my love of asymmetrical hems… does it get any better?

Nothing also beats a strong shoulder… a power shoulder.

Now, I’m not referring to the over the top padding from the 80′s.  This is a subtle (about as subtle as it can get) shoulder.  It’s maybe somewhere between the harsh, over the top 80′s…

and Balmain (who doesn’t love those Balmain jackets from seasons ago??).

I also am loving the neckline. Truly a turtleneck but not the choking turtlenecks of childhood or the oversized droopy cowl neck from my Goodwill donation pile. It’s somewhere in between – gracefully draping the neck. Do I love Helmut Lang or do I love Helmut Lang?

helmut lang shoulder padsblack knit: Helmut Lang; fedora: Forever21; clutch: Forever21; open knit beige sweater: Helmut Lang; beige and wine booties: Steve Madden Pembrook.

…me! This post is dedicated to my current shoe love – Steve Madden Pembrook booties.

Yes, they look similar to my fashion hero’s boots, Isabel Marant Dicker boots, but gosh they are much more affordable!

What am I doing? Lounging in my favorite boots at home, silly!

I purchased the Taupe a few months ago and then fell in love with the Wine color. Lucky me, endless.com had a huge sale this past weekend! :)

Did I ever mention how clumsy I am?

Now, the tough question – which to wear???

sweater: Mink Pink; top: Free People; denim: Paige; pinkie ring: All for the Mountain;

boots: didn’t you read this post? It’s Steve Madden Pembrook.
