Time for another Indian wedding? What to wear?

Should I go the traditional lehenga route?

sari indian fashion embroidered

Opt for the sari and make mother and aunts happy?

Choose a more youthful attire?

Or completely forgo tradition and run with a modern approach?

My mom would disown me if I wore the above! ;)

Remember I promised photos from the Indian weddings I’ve attended this Summer? No? Yea, I was hoping you would forget! ;) Here are a few images from my friend’s Hindu wedding ceremony.

Exchanging the garlands symbolizes the bride and groom’s adoration for each other.

Nope, it’s not what you think. I’m completely sober. I’m just easily amused. :)

These are the best fireworks pics I’ve ever seen…

These are the impressive works of Canadian photographer David Johnson.

Check out more long exposure shots, as well as the rest of his impressive portfolio.

I’ll have to try a longer exposure next 4th of July (or at the NC State Fair in October!).

Hands down the best part of my Italy trip was the Amalfi coast. Positano was my home for several days. I ventured to some of the other towns on the coast and found (so far) that Positano is my favorite. Can’t wait to go back! :)
