The beautiful downtown view from Stanley Park in Vancouver.
We have a big winter storm coming tonight. And after several days of very warm weather it is finally freezing!

The weather reminds me of my first trip to Vancouver. Such a lovely place!

You really can’t beat a place with a terrific downtown, beaches within walking distance and mountains a mere 10 minutes away by car.

*sigh*
I would be cold (but very happy) here.

The entrance of Piazza del Plebiscito is a stomping ground for the young and fashionable during the early evening hours,

but at night…

it’s a relative ghost town. A shame really, because it’s so beautifully lit.
The church of San Francesco di Paola (above) in Piazza del Plebiscito, modeled after the Pantheon in Rome.

One of two equestrian statues just in front of the church.

One of the lion statues that stands guard in the piazza.

The fashionable people socializing near Piazza del Plebiscito.

Classic Fiat in my favorite color.

Late night football in Piazza Dante.

Each street inundated with the day’s laundry.

Numerous well-dressed scooter drivers on Via Vittorio Emanuele III.

One of many lion statues at Piazza Plebiscito (one of the largest squares in Napoli).
