While this region suffers from high unemployment and infant mortality rates, Sole sought to deliver images of a resilient, tight-knit community.

A friend of mine just returned from India. When recounting her visit she immediately voiced her disgust of the ‘hustle and bustle of India’.

“Way overcrowded streets… overrun with pedestrians, cycles, rickshaws, cars, buses, lorries… and cows.” “Noise pollution is everywhere – car horns constantly blaring.”

“Good luck getting a seat on a bus to anywhere.”

“Travelling by train to either short or long distances is pointless unless you like standing shoulder to shoulder, butt to butt with strangers.”

“I hate having to fight my way onto the train. These situations bring out the worst in people.”

“The markets are way too crowded to easily browse through goods.” “I hate having to bargain with vendors.”

Oddly enough, hearing her experience only made me want to be there more. Yea, most of the above scenarios make India unbearable at times, but this is what makes India… India.

My parents are now in Burgos, Spain. They will visit there for 1.5 days before heading into France. Boy, I’m envious!

I would love to see the cathedral of Our Lady of Burgos, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Well, this is a big day for me! Mommy told me I get to start solid foods. I can’t wait to see and taste all the good stuff she eats… pizza, burgers, ice cream! It’s been my dream for awhile now!

Let’s see what’s in this bowl… maybe a cupcake?!?!

WHOA! What in the world is that? That’s the weirdest green color I’ve ever seen. Is that even edible?

Avocado? Well, I’m sure it’s yummy since you’re giving it to me! Here we go!

BLEH! Is that supposed to taste good? What in the world are you feeding me?!?

Hmmm… well, that’s a pretty nice spoon there… and my favorite color, orange.

Wait a minute… don’t distract me with a cool spoon! Why are you making me eat this stuff?

I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Solid food is NASTY!

Yea, my face and my left hand pretty much sum up what I’m feeling!
