Entering Amsterdam through the beautiful Centraal Station…

devouring every dessert my stomach can hold at Unlimited Delicious in the Jordaan…

shopping (window shopping, really) at Amsterdam’s largest department store – De Bijenkorf…

observing the stylish women of Amsterdam on bike after bike after bike… (they’re so well put together!)

riding the tram through the city (how I miss the sound of their bells!)
…sigh. Until we meet again, Amsterdam.
Please check out my other Amsterdam photos:
Find yourself a city to live in… Amsterdam.

Greetings ….. waiting for a visit …
I got to get back there soon!!!
Love your shots, they looked so beautiful =)
I love your pictures! I’ve repeatedly told myself to travel more often this year, just so I can see new things and take more (hopefully better) photos. The desserts made me hungry.
I had to look around for Amsterdam because I just finished reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I should really include the place in one of my musts before turning 50.
Thanks for an amazing post!
You have to put Amsterdam at the top of your list! You won’t regret it!
I better start saving up! Hahaha.
I’m actually already looking at the spots to hangout when I get there. Just hope it won’t take me a while to actually do it.

One of m favourite cities in the world! Lucky you! And I also love fashion, food & photogaphy! =D
I like it very much, so nice
Great photos looks as cool as everyone say it does.
Love how big and crisp the photos are — and that dessert — Dyyyying. Coming through Centraal Station was such a treat during trip one, or was it two? Can’t remember. The the trams. It all brings back memories. I’ve been to Amsterdam three times. Did you head over the Pancake Bakery? I wonder if it’s still around and if it’s still as good as it used to me. The last time I visited, I was feeling like it lost something. (But truth be told, I ate there at least three times during that trip, so obviously, that didn’t stop me.) *slight bashful eye raise*
Yes, Pancake Bakery is still there… I prefer Pannenkoekenhuis Upstairs on Grimburgwal. I eat there several times when I’m visiting. There is also another place I tried when I was there last August – Pancakes! Amsterdam on Berenstraat, which I thought was pretty decent. Ah… this is all making me very hungry!
Oh my goodness…I just ate, and now I’m salivating! Good to know about the Pannenkoekenhuis Upstairs. Next time, I’ll make sure it’s on my agenda. This is like foodie torture.
Love the photos! Especially the panning in the one with the women on bikes.
Great photos. I was in Amsterdam for a weekend about 10 years ago but none of these photos look familiar. I think I may have been in a different part of the city, though.
What amazing photographs! Love your camera! I liked the train photo. For some reason, it just stands out. I can almost hear and sense the sounds and authenticity of the surrounding area where it was taken. Great post!
Awesome pictures! I Love the one of the ladies on the bikes!
Amsterdam looks beautiful! I’d love to do some travelling, but of course it takes money. What would be really neat is if I could start travelling for writing conferences and maybe get to go to some places out of the U.S. such as Italy, France, Sweden. That would be awesome. I may be forty before it happens, but I’ll take it.
Yea… that is my dream too!
That dessert looks delicious.
Great photos looks as cool …….

A different take on my visit to Amsterdam
I really like that you captured the dominance of the colour blue in Amsterdam. It’s a nice place, especially when you get out of the human trafficking zone. I have to say I was not at all surprised about the transportation accident as it is so disorganized and surly there, in spite of the immense environmental and structural beauty. Happy travels! -’tarotworldtour.wordpress.com’
Great photos. And great you love my beloved hometown Mokum.
Great photos. Thanks for loving my beloved Mokum.

My memories of Amsterdam are a little hazy.
Went there last summer. The city is beautiful but the natives are taciturn and glum(If you could find some among the swarms of tourists). The only lively company at an outdoor restaurant table was a group of Italian tourists, full of life. The lack of a sense of humor of the Dutch is proverbial. I was confirmed in my impression by a Hungarian lady i met on the city excursion bus who is married to a Dutch man.
That’s interesting… I’ve never had that experience before. I always rent an apartment while in Amsterdam and have found my Dutch neighbors as well as the shopkeepers that I buy from to be very warm and friendly!
Your beautiful pictures make me miss Amsterdam! Such a beautiful, calm, free city! Thanks for sharing and bring back old memories!
Ahhhh, my favorite city to travel to. Your photos definitely help to capture the atmosphere.
